July 1, 2006 - Indianapolis Car Show Photos
There is a car show in the center of Indianapolis during the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix.
The following are some of the cars I admired.
This swoopy Delahaye was gorgeous, but I didn't care for the brown color.
This super-charged boat-tailed
Auburn was my "Best in Show".
Awards were given on the south side of Monument Circle.

This McLaren Mercedes F1 car was parked outside the new Conrad Hilton hotel.
I wanted to enjoy a smoke with a great steak dinner, but due to some ludicrous new law
which outlaws smoking in restaurants, I would have to eat outside on the street in the
intense heat. Instead, I left and stopped at the grocery store on the way home and
picked up a couple fat Porterhouse steaks and some beer, probably saving myself
$100 in the process.
Note: I later found out that Mo's Steak House downtown doesn't allow children in, so
you can smoke there and enjoy fabulous steaks. Anyway, the new law forbids smoking
sections in establishments that allow children in. That sucks for all the nice restaurants
that are now stuck with empty bars.
