Indianapolis Under 21 Clubs

ie. Places to see a band play that does not serve alcohol.

Club Xtreme - at 21st and Post Rd. - 899-8920
You must by at least 15 years old.
A reader wrote and told me, "Me and my 2 friends go there every Friday and Saturday night. There are pool tables and a lounge area with a big screen tv and a huge dance floor. Every Saturday night they have contests, like the booty bounce and the guys dance contest and battles. There are cash prizes for the winners and the place is off the hook. I recommend this place for everyone, so get your friends and come party with us. This is from the Xtreme girls."

Club Legacy - U.S. 31 South
Whiteland IN, just south of Greenwood

A reader wrote and told me, "Hey, I just wanted to let you know about a new under 21 dance club on the southside in Whiteland. It's called Club Legacy and it's awesome. They play a good variety of music and the people that run it are really nice. It's located off of US 31 next to a Subway."

The Emerson Theater - 4634 E. 10th St. - (317) 357-0239

They've finally taken the chairs out of this old delapidated theater and torn the raggedy curtains off the walls. The bands that play here are very heavy metal and punk.

Fountain Square Theatre - 1105 Prospect St - (317) 686-6101
One of the coolest venues in the Midwest. A renovated club/diner from the 20s, it has contributed to the growth of Fountain Square and draws many other forms of music to Indianapolis. There are two venues: The Fountain Square Theatre (the original theater, later turned into a Woolworth in the 50s, and now back to its original layout) where every Friday night they feature swing dancing (lessons too!) to a great Midwestern swing band. The Fountain Room, once a pharmacy owned by former Mayor Stephen Goldsmith's grandfather, has been renovated into a smaller club, with great B-film posters on the walls, and a nice sized stage to feature a variety of acts. They also have the renovated diner (service in Fountain Room, too) that serves great tenderloins, malts and also liquor so those 21+ folk can enjoy a drink.

The House Cafe' - 6101 North Keystone Ave - 317-722-1339
Christian coffee shop in Glendale Mall that has a stage for bands.

Club Logos - 154 1/2 E. Jefferson St. Franklin, IN 46131 - 317-446-1503
All ages non-alcolholic place to dance and hear bands. Franklin is 20 miles south of Indy.

Volcano Room - 2903 Southeastern Ave - (317) 290-HEAR
All-ages club is a place to see shows of all kinds. An art gallery, a lounge, snacks (drinks and candy)

The Underground - Eastside of Indy
Aug 11, 2006 - A fight at this club results in the shooting death of 18 y/o Billy Isaac Jr. and 16 y/o Jack Berry by 19 y/o Reginald Bell.
